Elmhurst responds to Government consultation on Building Regulation enforcement

Scotland guidance released for energy efficiency in privately rented domestic properties

The Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (Scotland) Regulations 2019 Guidance has been released. The UK has ‘no chance’ of obtaining net zero without urgent action of energy efficiency

A report by the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee stated this morning: “The UK stands no chance of meeting its emissions reduction targets, including net zero by 2050, unless the Government takes urgent action to revive its failing energy efficiency policy and builders are compelled to deliver the latest energy efficiency standards”, MPs have warned. New Report says the Government's plans do not meet scale of climate challenge.

The government's own Committee on Climate Change today gave its annual report assessing progress in reducing the UK's emissions over the past year.
