DECC Release Promising Green Deal Statistics
Last week the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) released a set of up to date Green Deal and ECO statistics that show a significant increase in the number of Green Deal Assessments taking place, a positive report following the initial slow up-take of the scheme.
The report shows that 7465 Green Deal Reports were lodged in March, compared to only 1729 in February. Since the last statement in February, the number of GDAOs has also increased considerably, from 77 to 108, and the amount of individual advisors has gone up from 618 to 1003. These changes reflect the recent growth of awareness and interest in the Green Deal
Greg Barker, Energy and Climate Change minster, commented on the DECC report stating ‘It is clearly very early days but the latest figures on the Green Deal show that this new market is gathering real momentum’ before concluding that ‘this is a really promising start for the Green Deal’
