Scotland confirms "no change" to EPC Advice
Further to recent announcements in England about the reopening of the property market, Elmhurst has been liaising with Scottish Government in order to clarify their position regarding COVID-19 and EPC production.
In a message received today from the Scottish Government, the First Minister has confirmed that the ‘Stay At Home’ message remains in place in Scotland as does the previous Scottish Government guidance issued on Moving Home. For EPC assessment, the original social distancing guidance for businesses issued on the 2nd April is still applicable. The only change being made in Scotland at this time relates to the ability to exercise outdoors more than once
Stuart Fairlie, Technical & Operations Director, comments: “We welcome the clarification regarding Scotland and EPCs, which effectively states that there is no change to the current guidance. This message is very important, especially for any members (or organisations) who may live or work either side of the border and who may have taken notice of what is happening in England. Elmhurst will of course continue to liaise with UK government's and will update our members with any further changes in the form of published advice and guidance.”
