Go Renewables Pilot – Practical Day
Developed alongside Energy Saving Trust and MCS MCS to meet industry desire to enable heat pump adoption and provide a scalable and competitive solution to assessments for homeowners and installers, this Pilot allows homeowners via a web portal https://www.gorenewable.org.uk/Home carry out a on-line assessment of their property for the viability of renewables. They are then presented with possible improvement options and if desire can then arrange a professional survey (a Renewables Assessment) collating and supplying information for MCS trusted installers to then quote with confidence.
The Pilot is a soft launch in a UK region offering a mixture of rural, urban and city properties. Energy Assessors will conduct a site visit and capture the necessary information relating to the property’s energy efficiency and condition plus the feasibility of installing renewable technologies.
Please Note – Pre course content must be completed prior to the 1-day F2F training.
Morning Session – The course will aim to start at 9.30am with the morning session going through the key areas for the Go Renewables Assessment (site considerations, condition reports, renewables assessment, Heat loss calculations). This includes a simulation project to have a go at.
Afternoon Session – You will then head out to a live property to bring together everything that has been learnt. This property is then used as part of your final assessment to meet the Go Renewables Assessor criteria.
*Please ensure you bring your normal assessor equipment for the site visit to the property (laser measure, floorplan tools, camera etc).
