Elmhurst’s Damp and Mould Assessor training course develops the skills and confidence you need to competently assess and report on damp, mould, and condensation (DMC) in both social housing and the private rented sector. With Awaab’s Law placing greater emphasis on swift, evidence‑based action, this course ensures you’re ready to meet rising expectations.
The training is delivered live online and focuses on practical, real‑world assessment skills, supported by Elmhurst’s exclusive Damp and Mould reporting software. Across three interactive modules, expert trainers guide you through best practice, with plenty of opportunities for questions and live feedback. A 30‑minute competency test completes the course, after which successful learners can join Elmhurst’s Damp and Mould Assessor Competency Scheme.

At the end of the course, you’ll complete a 30-minute, multiple-choice competency assessment to confirm your understanding of the content. The test is taken live during the session.
