Andrew Parkin to Take Up New Role with NAPIT
Elmhurst Energy would like to share that Andrew Parkin, our Technical Development Director, will be leaving the business at the beginning of March to take up an exciting new role with NAPIT as Certification and Standards Director.
This represents a genuinely positive next step for Andy and a well-deserved recognition of the contribution he has made since joining Elmhurst following the Stroma merger. Andy will be moving into a role that remains closely connected to the wider energy efficiency and compliance landscape.
While NAPIT operates as an installer certification body and Elmhurst remains an independent provider across energy assessor and retrofit accreditation, the two organisations sit in complementary parts of the vitally important sector. We have no doubt Andy will continue to champion the work of Elmhurst members, promoting the value of EPCs, Elmhurst members and the importance of improving energy performance across the built environment in new (and familiar) circles.
As Certification and Standards Director at NAPIT, Andy will be well placed to support best practice and consistency across the sector, building on the depth of technical expertise he has brought to Elmhurst.
Andy played an integral role in helping bring Stroma and Elmhurst together following the merger, supporting a smooth transition and helping shape a unified culture. He also led Elmhurst’s Training and Consultancy teams with enthusiasm and innovation, driving positive change and strengthening our technical and member upskill/competency offering.
Stephen Melton, Commercial & Compliance Director at NAPIT welcomes the news:
“We are excited to be adding someone of Andrew’s knowledge & reputation to the NAPIT senior leadership team. His wide experience of certification, standards and innovation in the building fabric sector will further strengthen our position and complement our existing teams.
Stuart Fairlie, Managing Director of Elmhurst Energy, commented:
“Andy has made an outstanding contribution to Elmhurst. He played a key role in bringing Stroma and Elmhurst together following the merger, helped shape a unified culture, and led our Training and Consultancy team with real energy and innovation. His leadership has strengthened our technical offer and the support we provide to members. We will continue building on the work Andy has helped put in place, and I wish him every success in his new role.”
All of us at Elmhurst would like to thank Andy for his dedication and leadership, and we wish him every success as he begins this next chapter with NAPIT.
