This webinar is ideal for on construction energy assessors in both the domestic and non domestic sectors, consultants, architects and other professionals who want to improve their understanding of what goes into modelling thermal bridges, the software tools and competency requirements within the industry.
Please note: This webinar is taking place between 1pm and 2pm on Tuesday 24th November.
This one-hour CPD webinar has been designed to provide assessors and energy professionals with a practical introduction to psi values, their significance within SAP, the Home Energy Model/FHS, and EPC calculations, and how they can influence overall dwelling performance.
With the increasing focus on improving the accuracy and consistency of energy assessments, understanding thermal bridging and psi values has never been more important. The session will begin by exploring the importance of psi values and the role they play in accurately accounting for thermal bridges within energy assessments.
Delegates will then receive an overview of BR 497, including the key differences between 2D and 3D thermal bridge calculations and when each approach may be appropriate. Attendees will also gain valuable insight into commonly used thermal modelling software packages and how they can be used to calculate and assess thermal bridging. The webinar will conclude with an overview of the Psi Value Scheme, followed by a dedicated Q&A session where attendees can put their questions to the presenters.
