This training is designed to help assessors use the RdSAP Go Floor Plan tool on iOS confidently and correctly during domestic energy assessments. It takes users through the full process of creating a floor plan on site, showing how to record building layout clearly and ensure key information transfers accurately into RdSAP Go.
The session covers opening and creating a floor plan, assigning building parts, adjusting measurements, wall types and heights, and correctly recording rooms, extensions, conservatories, windows, doors and lighting. It also focuses on the correct order of tasks within the tool and highlights common mistakes that can lead to data transfer issues or audit problems.
It is recommended that participants:
- Are a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor, or are working towards the qualification
- Have basic experience using the RdSAP Go app
- Are familiar with carrying out on‑site assessments and measurements
The training is suitable for both new and experienced assessors and focuses on the practical use of the Floor Plan tool rather than classroom theory. Anyone already undertaking RdSAP assessments will be able to follow the content without difficulty.
