Elmhurst Energy is excited to introduce Elmhurst ECO! Quick and easy to use, Elmhurst's new online software application allows users to instantly calculate the ECO results required for application to the governments Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme, a new mandatory requirement for all large gas and electricity suppliers to fund energy efficiency improvements to dwellings in the UK. DECC Announce £20 Million Green Deal Funding

The Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has recently announced an additional £20 million scheme, to help drive the Green Deal via Local Authorities. The Green Deal Communities Scheme will allow Local Authorities to bid for funding, from the £20m, to put towards promoting the Green Deal on a street by street basis. Local Authorities will be able to identify the streets in their regions that would most benefit from the Green Deal process,


Updated Version of Design SAP Released!

Green Deal Cashback Announced for Scottish Properties

The Scottish Government is offering owner occupiers, private and social tenants and private sector landlords up to £1,200 towards energy efficiency measures that are recommended in the Green Deal assessment. Up to £500 is available for insulation measures, up to £400 for a boiler and up to £300 for other measures (such as glazing, LED lighting and heating controls). Properties eligible for this scheme will require a Green Deal assessment before installing energy saving measures,


Low Carbon Skills Training Fund Released

Skills Development Scotland has recently launched the Low Carbon Skills Fund for 2013-2014. The fund gives Scottish businesses with under 250 employees the opportunity to apply for up to £12,500 towards employee training costs. It provides funding for up to 25 training sessions and covers up to 50% of the cost, with a maximum of £500 per session. DECC Release Promising Green Deal Statistics

Last week the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) released a set of up to date Green Deal and ECO statistics that show a significant increase in the number of Green Deal Assessments taking place, a positive report following the initial slow up-take of the scheme. DCLG Announce Lodgement Fee Increases

Elmhurst has been informed by DCLG that the fees for lodging to the Landmark registers are to be increased from 6th April 2013. Specifically this will affect the lodgement of Domestic and Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Display Energy Certificates (DECs) and Air Conditioning Inspection Reports (ACIRs). The fee for domestic lodgements will rise to £1.67 and Non-Domestic lodgements will rise to £11.81.
