Who does what in the Department for Energy and Climate Change?
Much of the drive for energy assessment comes from Government Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC).
DECC employees over 1600 staff within its London and Aberdeen offices; with the aim to ensure ".. the UK has secure, clean, affordable energy supplies and promote international action to mitigate climate change". Many people will already recognise the name Amber Rudd, who is the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, and has recently featured heavily in the news making announcements about Green Deal, wind farms and more recreantly fracking.
Elmhurst members who interact with DECC may benefit from understanding a little more about Amber Rudd's team which is why we have provided a useful diagram which highlights who does what within DECC.
