Elmhurst Energy Cycle from Lutterworth to Scotland for Children in Need
This year, staff at Elmhurst Energy, a provider of services for energy efficiency testing, put their fitness to the test for Children in Need, virtual cycling 425 miles from their Lutterworth Head Office to their Scotland office in Fort William. All week, staff worked together, taking turns to rack up the miles with every penny raised going towards helping disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.
Emma McGowan, event organiser, said “We’ve had people of all fitness levels involved in the effort as so many of us wanted to get involved in supporting such a worthy cause. Elmhurst Energy always goes the extra mile when it comes to fundraising so we decided this year for Children in Need to take that literally! With the support of our colleagues, friends and families we have raised over £600 beating last year’s total.”
I “Our Managing Director, Stephen O'Hara, has generously offered to match our total amount raised, which takes our current total to £1320! There are some sore legs around the office and people have really pushed themselves to their limits but everyone agrees that the donations were worth it.”
