Elmhurst Energy acquires BRE Global’s Energy Assessors Schemes
Leicestershire based, Elmhurst Energy, a leading UK provider of energy assessment software and services has acquired BRE Global’s Energy Assessors Scheme. The deal marks the start of a long term strategic partnership between the two organisations.
Stephen O’Hara, Managing Director for Elmhurst Energy said: “Given BRE Global’s reputation in the industry, I am delighted to be working together with them. We are thrilled to welcome many new energy assessors to our accreditation scheme. Our key priority is to ensure a smooth transition for our new members and to bring new services and opportunities via our new relationship with BRE Global."
The agreement helps support BRE Global's long term vision and strategy and underlines Elmhurst Energy’s significant investment in and reputation for providing market leading software that assessors use to generate energy performance ratings and certificates for homes and buildings. It will further strengthen Elmhurst’s presence within the market; just weeks after the company received professional body status for the government’s new Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS).
Announcing the decision, Managing Director of BRE Global Richard Hardy said “The extent of the commercial benefits and wider strategic opportunities offered by a partnership with Elmhurst Energy were in this case exceptional so we took action to expedite a deal which was announced to our customers this week. Elmhurst is a company that we highly respect - they have the right technical skills, business ethics, levels of investment and commitment to provide long-term solutions focused on the needs of customers. We are confident that our existing customers will be delighted with the service they provide going forward.”
