Low Carbon Skills Training Fund Released
Skills Development Scotland has recently launched the Low Carbon Skills Fund for 2013-2014.
The fund gives Scottish businesses with under 250 employees the opportunity to apply for up to £12,500 towards employee training costs. It provides funding for up to 25 training sessions and covers up to 50% of the cost, with a maximum of £500 per session. By increasing expertise in this growth area, Skills Development Scotland aims to harness the opportunities offered by natural resources and make Scotland a world leader in sustainable energy.
Training sessions that are eligible for support include:
• Green Deal Adviser/Assessor/Installer
• Renewable energy, low carbon technologies and microgeneration
• Energy efficiency, environmental and clean technologies
• Waste management and reuse
• Reducing carbon in supply and energy management
Please note: the Fund cannot be used for statutory training.
