    Elmhurst’s Level 1 Airtightness Testing training offers energy and retrofit professionals the essential skills and knowledge required to conduct full air pressure/airtightness tests for Level 1 UK properties (simple structures up to 4,000 m³).

    Suitable for New entrants with no previous experience
    Qualifications Level 1 Qualification in Airtightness Testing + Certificate of Competency in Background Ventilation Assessment + 15 Hours CPD
    Once qualified, we will require 3 Test property assessments to be supplied to us in order to then sign your qualification off. When qualified you will be invited to join the EAS scheme in order to become accredited and then be able to certify the dwellings you test.

    A Better Buildings Consultant is an Elmhurst member who has proven competency across multiple energy, retrofit or building related disciplines. Elmhurst’s Better Buildings Consultant scheme is available exclusively for Elmhurst members who have more than one active service offering, contributing towards making a building better in many ways. e.g. providing an energy performance certificate, retrofit assessment and an air tightness report on a building.

    Course length 2 Days
    Suitable for Energy Assessors, Retrofit Professionals, Designers, Airtightness Testers, Background Ventilation Testers. It is also ideal for experienced electricians, plumbers, ventilation installers and heating engineers that are looking to improve their knowledge and understanding of Domestic Ventilation Systems.
    The domestic ventilation training and assessment has been designed to provide the necessary skills in testing, commissioning, handover, servicing and fault-finding of ventilation systems in accordance with the latest Minimum Technical Competency documents (MTC). Completion of this course will satisfy the entry requirements to join the Elmhurst Ventilation Scheme.
