Retrofit Technical Consultant

Salary range starting from £24,000 dependant on experience and qualifications

Are you a qualified or part qualified Retrofit Coordinator?
Are you a Retrofit Assessor wanting to be trained as a Retrofit Coordinator (Level 5 diploma)?

Due to industry growth and from our ongoing success as the industry leaders, we continue to look to increase the size of our Existing Dwellings team. Government initiatives and developments around energy efficiency and building sustainability with Retrofit and PAS 2035, mean that we continue to grow our team to deliver excellence to our members, both now and in the future.

Our preferred option is for full-time team members to work with our office based support team in Lutterworth. However, we know you are busy too and may be looking for part-time, or hybrid to fit around existing work and commitments. If you are a qualified Retrofit Coordinator or Assessor, we would welcome an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for and how this could fit with our Retrofit support team.

What type of things can I expect to do in the role?

Our Technical Consultants deliver the highest level of professional and quality support to our members through experience and knowledge of the energy assessment industry. If you are not already a qualified Coordinator one of the first things will be to get you fully trained as an accredited Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator.

The main part of your role will be to proactively offer high level and consistent front line support to our members through the provision of excellent technical support which includes telephone, written, and face to face communications, to ensure that Elmhurst’s products and services are understood by stakeholders. There will also be opportunities to get involved with other projects and help with auditing, training and events.

What experience will I need to be successful in this role?

  • You must have a ‘Can-Do’ attitude, and be willing to go the extra mile to provide a positive customer experience
  • You will be a trained Retrofit Assessor, or may already be a qualified/part qualified Coordinator
  • You will have experience working as an Energy Assessor, or a background of working in the energy assessment industry
  • You may have experience of carrying out audits or delivering industry related training, but not essential

Why would I want to join the Elmhurst team?

You will be working with a fantastic team in an environment where culture and employee engagement is an important part of who we are. In addition to job security in a growing industry, benefits we offer include:

  • 25 days paid holiday plus Bank Holidays
  • Flexi holiday programme with ability to increase holidays to 30 days
  • Full company/occupational sick pay
  • Death in service of 3 x salary
  • Employee welfare cash plan teamed with wellbeing support through an Employee Assistance Programme
  • ‘Perks at Work’ membership for savings and discounts
  • Free private medical cover after 2 years’ service
  • Elmhurst product & services discounts

If you are interested in a career as a part of our Retrofit team please send your CV to caroline.moss@elmhurstenergy.co.uk .

Our first stage of the process is a telephone call to make sure that what we are able to offer matches what you are looking for in a role. We also chat about relevant experience. This is a 10-15 minute chat with Simon Flint the team leader. After that we progress to face to face interviews at our Lutterworth offices with Simon and Josh, our Head of Operations.
