About the Role:
We are seeking a knowledgeable Domestic Energy Assessor to join our growing team. As a Domestic Energy Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting energy assessments on residential properties and providing clients with comprehensive energy reports. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of energy efficiency and a passion for reducing carbon emissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct energy assessments on residential properties, including the measurement of the property’s physical characteristics, heating system, insulation levels, and ventilation.
- Analyse data collected during assessments and produce energy reports that provide recommendations for improving energy efficiency.
- Communicate with clients to provide them with advice and guidance on improving the energy efficiency of their properties.
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and regulations regarding energy assessments and energy efficiency.
Requirements:
- A thorough understanding of energy efficiency and the role it plays in reducing carbon emissions.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations, including Part L and Part F.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex information to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
- A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- A valid DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor) accreditation is essential.
