On Construction EPC Updates in Scotland

Earlier this year the Scottish Building Standards Division (BSD) announced a number of updates that effect the production of New Build EPCs in Scotland. You can read the full report here or see below for an update on lodging EPCs in Scotland.

From the 30th June 2013, the building regulations in Scotland will be brought in line with England and Wales to require all EPCs for new build properties* to be lodged onto a central register. In order to lodge onto this register, assessors will need to be trained and accredited with an approved organisation such as Elmhurst Energy. Once accredited, assessors are able to lodge EPCs throughout the UK.

Shortly after these BSD changes come into place, Elmhurst Energy will be releasing an updated version of our professional Design SAP Software to our members in Scotland. Design SAP is the market leading software that ensures professional and accurate energy calculations for newly constructed dwellings. The upcoming version of Design SAP will allow assessors to lodge to the new Scottish central register, and will comply with the updated building regulations in Scotland.

You can find out more about Design SAP by clicking here, or by contacting the Elmhurst New Build team on newbuildres-support@elmhurstenergy.co.uk.
