Introducing the Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme!
We are very excited to announce the launch of the Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme!
The management of the scheme (formerly known as the Independent AirTightness Testing Scheme, iATS) was transferred to Elmhurst Energy Systems Limited in June 2017 and, with the upcoming changes to Building Regulations this year, we decided it was the right time to bring the scheme in line with our Elmhurst branding.
Fantastic benefits for members
The scheme offers some fantastic benefits for members such as: PI and PL insurance, a secure lodgement portal, and dedicated technical support. Members will also benefit from greater name recognition as members of the UK’s largest scheme for energy assessors, and we’re looking forward to providing continued investment in the EAS scheme and helping members achieve their professional goals.
Many EAS members already enjoy close links with Elmhurst SAP/SBEM Assessors, who can easily search EAS members’ services in Design SAP’s integrated ‘search for airtightness tester’ function- and no doubt this closer alignment will bring further commercial opportunities.

I know that members are really going to benefit from the increased investment and support, which we’ve already seen through the development of the Level 1 Airtightness training course and the Background Ventilation Scheme.
“I’ve been the Scheme Coordinator for over five years now and it’s the personal relationships we have with members that set us apart. I think with the release of the new regulations and the rebrand, it’s going to be exciting to see the scheme grow over the coming years!”
