Suitable for: New entrants with no previous OCDEA experience
An On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA) is an individual who undertakes energy calculations, using Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) software, on newly constructed dwellings to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs). All newly constructed domestic dwellings in the UK require an EPC before they are sold or let.
This four day course covers all skills required and SAP methodology to enable the candidate to become an On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor. The delegate is required to complete a portfolio of work including Centre devised test cases to meet the requirements of the ABBE OCDEA qualification.
Upon successful completion of the OCDEA training individuals are classed as qualified. Once qualified you are eligible to join our government approved certification scheme free of charge. Only individuals who are registered with a certification scheme are able to produce legally valid EPCs. To find out more about certification with Elmhurst Energy, click here.
