Suitable for: New entrants with no previous NDEA experience
An NDEA is an individual who undertakes energy calculations, using approved Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) or Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) software on commercial buildings to produce an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
The NDEA qualifications are split into a number of levels, and the level 3 qualification allows assessors to complete EPCs on all buildings with more frequently occurring characteristics and less complex HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems - this covers the majority of the non domestic market.
This four day course covers all relevant information needed to qualify as an NDEA Level 3 and is followed by an assessed inspection and a portfolio of work. The inspection, together with the portfolio, is assessed and results in a City and Guilds Non Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA) L3 qualification.
Upon successful completion of the NDEA training, individuals are classed as qualified. Once qualified you are eligible to join our government approved certification scheme free of charge. Only individuals who are registered with a certification scheme are able to produce legally valid EPCs. To find out more about certification with Elmhurst, click here.
