Help and Information for Businesses
Find everything you need to know about energy efficiency for your organisation, including all things Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) related.
For businesses, being energy efficient means saving money through the reduction of fuel cost; regardless of what size your business is, having a more energy efficient business is a key focus for any forward thinking business.
As with domestic properties, energy performance certificates are required for non domestic buildings (offices etc) which are under construction, sold or let. Moreover public buildings are required to provide a display energy certificate which needs to be on display for members of the public to see.
The introduction of the new energy efficiency standard will also add a new dynamic for businesses. According to the EPC register approximately 20% of commercial properties currently do not meet an EPC Standard of E or above; representing room for improvement.
