Suitable for: New entrants with no previous DEA experience.
A Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) is a certified individual who undertakes energy calculations on existing dwellings to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) using the Reduced data Standard Assessment Procedure (RdSAP) software. All residential existing dwellings in the UK require an EPC before marketed as for sale or to let.
Upon successful completion of the DEA Condensed 5 day training course individuals will become qualified. The Intensive course presents candidates with the opportunity to complete the required elements of the qualification in a condensed time period; this might include some evening study. Once qualified you are eligible to join our government approved certification scheme free of charge. Only individuals who are registered with an approved certification body are able to produce legally valid EPCs and are referred to as certified.
