Elmhurst together with the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) have launched a new 'Introduction to Construction' course for energy assessors who want to improve on their knowledge of the construction process and planning.
Delegates who wish to gain a greater understanding of construction will benefit from attending this course prior to attending any other training courses (such as Energy Assessor training events).
The course has been designed to be a 'Gateway to Construction' and will ensure delegates are better placed to operate within the construction industry and act as advisors to it.
Furthermore upon successful completion of the course, Elmhurst members can qualify for a CABE Technician Membership, with the first year of membership included completely free of charge!
This course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of new entrants who wish to gain or improve their understanding of some of the basic concepts of building construction (walls, roof etc), building services (heating, lighting etc) and the process of building a new property (Planning Permission and Building Control etc). It may also help refresh knowledge for existing energy assessors or other professionals.
The course will cover:
CABE are recognised as being experts in the use of technology in the design, construction, assessment and maintenance of the built environment.
Working together over the last two years CABE have recognised the high standards that Elmhurst energy assessors operate and are offering Elmhurst accredited energy assessors a route to Technician Membership.
