Energy News: Updated Reduction in Landmark Lodgement fees
Reduction in fees for lodging documents on the Energy Performance of Buildings Registers
All Accreditation Schemes have been notified by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) of a reduction in fees for lodging documents on the Energy Performance of Buildings Registers for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Fees will be amended from £1.67 to £1.30 for a domestic lodgement and from £11.81 to £9.73 for a non-domestic lodgement. These new fees will come into effect on 6 April 2014 when an amendment to the Energy Performance of Buildings (England and Wales) Regulations 2012 comes into force. The relevant legislation can be found at http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2014/880.
The Energy Performance of Buildings (England and Wales) Regulations 2012 set the fees that are charged for entering Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Display Energy Certificates (DECs) and Air Conditioning Inspection Reports (ACIRs) onto the EPC Registers. These fees are intended to cover the full cost of operating the Registers. To read the letter notifying of the change please click here.
